Special Arrangements: Friendly Sport Matches

This is nothing but sport matches between Cuban and foreign teams in an ambience packed with pleasant surprises and emotions and in which sport rivalry rubs elbows with solidarity and friendship.

By and large, a weeklong trip takes a three-game friendly series plus a farewell match in which players from both teams blend with one another. Matches can take place in one or more fields or venues.

These sport matches may include children’s teams, as well as junior, collegiate, corporate or veteran players.

Schedules could include matches only in Havana, as well as in western, central or eastern Cuba. The venues or small stadiums handpicked for the games feature well-preserved grass fields and adequate safety conditions.

There are good conditions and gears to practice a number of sports, even though both baseball and softball are the most sought-after ones. Ladies are also invited to join in.

An Example of What a Friendly Sport Match Might Be Like.:

Day One:

Nightly stop at the Cabana Fortress to watch the 9 O’clock Cannon Shot Ceremony.

Day Four :

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning game against a Cuban team.
Return to the hotel.
Afternoon training, exchange of experiences and skills with Cuban coaches and players.
Nightly visit to a stadium or sport venue to watch a game of any Cuban major sport league whose regular season is underway during the trip.

Day Five :

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning game against a Cuban team.
Return to the hotel.
Afternoon training, exchange of experiences and skills with Cuban coaches and players.

Day Six:

Breakfast at the hotel.
Tour to Eastern Havana Beaches for fun and a training session in the sand with Cuban players.
Lunch boxes and beverages are included.

Day Seven:

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning game with both foreign and Cuban sportsmen playing for either team.
Award ceremony and farewell party with possible participation of veteran players who made history in Cuban sport.
Return to the hotel.
Nightly visit to the Turquino Ballroom & Nightclub to enjoy live and playback disco music.

Day Eight:

Breakfast at the hotel.
Home return.
